about

UKM 026

Released also on vinyl.

“Hey You” EP is Invent’s debut release as a solo producer. Renowned for his incredible turntablism and DJ skills, he effortlessly blends analogue synthesizers, drum machines and a touch of rare vinyl.

The U Know Me Records signee has bridged the gap between new school sound and old school flavour by putting hip hop alongside electronica and hip house.

That's how he picked up legendary hip hop MC's KRS-One and up and coming NYC rapper - The Kid Daytona. The remixes are made by club scene heroes Azari & III and half of the TNGHT duo - Lunice.

The unique artwork is created by Forin, an artist influenced by the graffiti scene and a cult designer of many covers (O.S.T.R., Pezet, W.E.N.A. etc.) and audio-visual projects.

Invent (U Know Me Records / LizzyPop)

Originally a turntablist and hip hop DJ, in 2004 he emerged, a 15 year old kid, scratching and battling with the best of them. The groove revolved as the kid evolved, improving all the time.
After a few years of rocking the crowd and showing his skills, Invent has turned more towards club music and music production. Of course he didn't forget his hip hop and scratch background, with his scratch skills frequently showcased in his live shows. He has made a bunch of remixes, mixtapes, and original tracks.
He has also played hundreds of gigs, including radio shows and festivals in Poland, UK, Denmark, Ibiza and France. After winning the ''Amanda Blank - Might Like You Better'' remix competition, taking a part in Burn Studios bootcamp at Ibiza in 2011, he has released an EP for ''The Very Polish Cutouts'' label.
At the moment he's about to drop his biggest music project to date, a much anticipated vinyl release. This 12” features hip hop legend KRS One, up and coming NYC rapper The Kid Daytona, and includes remixes by Azari & III, and the half of TNGHT duo - Lunice. The EP bridges the gap between electronic, house and hip hop and is inspired by the idea of putting new school sound alongside old school grooves.
